Mulerider Track Complex
When it was announced that Southern Arkansas was reviving its once-storied track and field program beginning in the fall of 2015, plans for an updated facility were not behind. In 2016, the $1 million Mulerider Track Complex was completed and on September 24, 2016, the facility was officially dedicated.
The Mulerider Track and Field Complex was recently completed by GeoSurfaces, a licensed Professional Engineering Firm and General Contractor that specializes in the design, development, construction and installation of high performing sports surfaces and sports lighting systems.
Highlights of the facility include an APT Full Pour Track Surface with eight lanes, competition space for field events such as hammer and discus throws as well as shotput. Areas for the high jump, long jump, triple jump, and pole vault as well as a steeplechase pit are also included in the facility.
